CURRENT COLLABORATION

Advanced Varietal Demonstration Project:

Home harvest in partnership with the Integrated Seed Sector Development –Uganda (ISSD – Plus) implemented an 18-month project funded by ISSD Uganda project. The project aimed to promote adoption of superior vegetable varieties through establishment of demonstrations gardens. Through the partnership, over 4000 farmers were exposed to our superior varieties. They have also acquired knowledge and skills as regards the recommended agronomic practices.  We engaged our dealer network across the country to provide services to the farmers. The project was implemented in 8 districts of Uganda to include; Masindi, Mubende, Mityana, Gulu, Soroti, Mbale, Namisindwa, Masaka and Kabale.

Countering Wildlife Crime project:

Home Harvest in partnership with Uganda Conservation Foundation (UCF) supported communities around wildlife protected areas to improve their livelihoods and maintain a peaceful co-existence with wildlife. With the support of the UCF Home Harvest facilitated four youth groups to produced assorted vegetables targeting hotels and lodges in the park.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION

Home Harvest is interested in working with institutions and entities who are involved in introducing technologies in farming and agribusiness to improve the food security and incomes of rural communities. Our holistic focus is on building a robust value chain from agro-inputs, farmers, farmer groups, traders, and consumers. We are specially well placed to partner with companies and organizations interested in the different parts of the value chain.
