Strengthening Access and Adoption of High-Quality Inputs in Eastern Uganda

This past week, the Home Harvest Uganda Limited team embarked on an intensive sales promotion and engagement tour across Eastern Uganda — a region that holds immense potential for agricultural growth and transformation. From Kayunga, Kamuli, Jinja, Iganga, Kaliro, Mayuge, Tororo, Mbale, Bukedea, Soroti, Budaka, and Namutumba, our mission was simple yet powerful: to strengthen partnerships, improve access, and drive adoption of our high-quality agricultural inputs.

Listening to the Market, Strengthening Relationships

At every stop, our team sat down with agrodealers and agronomists to have honest conversations about our product performance, market dynamics, and the changing needs and preferences  of farmers. The feedback was encouraging. Agrodealers expressed satisfaction with the quality and consistency of Home Harvest products, while many agronomists testified to how our seeds are improving farmer yields and resilience against challenges associated with climate change.

One agronomist in Mbale remarked, “We have seen farmers come back with testimonies of better harvests because of your hybrid seeds. These products are reliable and are making a real difference.”

This kind of feedback reinforces our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Expanding Reach and Unlocking New Opportunities

In addition to engaging our loyal partners, the tour opened doors to previously unreached agrodealers. Many expressed excitement at stocking Home Harvest products for the first time, citing growing demand from farmers who are eager to access reliable inputs. By the end of the week, dozens of new agrodealers had joined our distribution network — a clear sign that market confidence in the HH brand is expanding.

Premium clients who had reduced their engagement with us were also re-activated, further strengthening our footprint in the region. The distribution of promotional materials — including posters, leaflets, and branded items — boosted visibility and reminded partners that Home Harvest is here to stay and grow with them.

Addressing Challenges Head-On

Of course, the journey wasn’t just about celebrating successes. Some agrodealers highlighted challenges around timely delivery, packaging improvements, and stronger after-sales support. These concerns were taken seriously, and our management team is already mapping out practical solutions to ensure a seamless experience for every client.

By addressing such gaps, we aim to not only improve efficiency but also build trust and long-term loyalty in a competitive market.

Building a Stronger Future Together

The Eastern Region tour reaffirmed that the future of agriculture lies in collaboration. Farmers need reliable inputs, agrodealers need dependable supply, and agronomists need high-performing products to recommend with confidence. Home Harvest Uganda Limited sits at the heart of this ecosystem, driving growth through quality, consistency, and innovation.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on:

  1. Expanding access to unreached agrodealers.
  2. Strengthening customer care and follow-up.
  3. Enhancing visibility and adoption of our hybrid seeds.
  4. Investing in key markets that show the greatest potential.

Thanks Eastern Uganda
