Driving Farmer-Centered Transformation in Western Uganda: Strengthening Support Systems and Celebrating Farmer Success
At Home Harvest, our mission is simple but powerful: to place the farmer at the center of every decision we make. Whether it is seed development, agronomic support, or dealer engagement, our focus is on creating solutions that deliver real impact on real farms.
Our team was on the ground in Western Uganda, engaging directly with farmers and agrodealers across Kalamba, Kyegegwa, and Fort Portal. This visit provided invaluable insights and reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening the support systems that ensure Home Harvest hybrid seed varieties perform at their full potential.
Connecting With Agrodealers Across the Western Route
Agrodealers play a crucial role in bridging the gap between agricultural inputs and the farmers who depend on them. During our field visit, we interacted with various agrodealers to:
- Understand farmer feedback on HH hybrid varieties
- Assess availability and distribution of our seeds
- Strengthen partnerships for improved service delivery
- Provide updated agronomic recommendations
These engagements help ensure that farmers receive accurate information, timely advice, and quality seed access right at their nearest agro shop. The agrodealer network remains a cornerstone of our farmer support model.

Magoba Hybrid Maize Thriving in Western Uganda
One of the most encouraging moments of the visit was seeing a farmer’s field of Magoba Hybrid Maize performing exceptionally well.
This variety continues to stand out because of its:
🌽 Strong early vigor
🌱 Uniform stand establishment
💪 Tolerance to stress and disease
📈 High-yield potential under proper management
Walking through the field, it was evident that Magoba Hybrid is meeting farmer expectations and demonstrating the genetic strength it was bred for. The farmer expressed confidence in the crop’s potential and appreciated the field support received from the Home Harvest team.
This success story reflects what is possible when great genetics meet proper agronomy and consistent follow-up.
A Vision for Farmer-Centered Impact
Home Harvest continues to invest in practical, on-ground solutions that make agriculture more productive and more responsive to farmer realities. We believe that transformation begins where seeds meet the soil — in the field, not the office. 🌾💪
Every visit, every training, and every farmer interaction is a step toward our long-term goal:
To see every farmer who plants a Home Harvest hybrid not only grow — but grow with guidance, consistency, and confidence. 🌍
This vision drives us forward as we continue to expand, innovate, and serve farming communities across Uganda.
